The DST magnetic is a small data logger / archival tag that measures and records earth's magnetic field strength (in three directions), tilt (in three directions), acceleration, temperature and depth. This makes the DST magnetic an effective tool to track the movement of fishes and other marine life.

Description
From the magnetic field strength measurements a relative magnetic field vector is calculated, which can be put into models to find longitude and latitude of the tagged fish. It is also a useful tool for recording compass directions. DST magnetic is also used in studies of various gear and equipment.
